As it turns out most people are unaware of the little quirks within their BLOG. I was clueless to the "WORD VERIFICATION" that was part of my blog...in order to leave comments it required a little extra work on the visitor, but I find that feature to be troublesome at times. In other instances, I haven't been able to leave comments or I can't really see the letters or numbers correctly...it is a PAIN! Thanks to a scrappy-cyberfriend over at Craftling's Crafting in a few easy steps I was able to remove the pesky little addition to my blog. Here are a few words on her view on WORD VERIFICATION and I have to say I TOTALLY AGREE ....."Everyone will have their own view, but in my case, I regard the removal of word verification as a basic courtesy to my visitors who are kind enough to take the time to leave comments. Being aware of their comments through comment moderation, but not hindering them with word verification is the very least I can do to reciprocate their courtesy to me." Now my BLOG is WV-Free...thanks!
In additon to her great advice on the Word Verification...visit her website and check out her 10K BLOG CANDY giveaway....it is PHENOMENAL!!!
What a great way to celebrate Labor Day!!! I just found out that two of my layouts made it to the EZINE at Making Memories For You. I joined the site back in July 2008 and I have totally enjoyed myself, everyone is soooo nice and the CHALLENGES are fantastic! The board is run by Frankie who is phenomenal. The DT's post monthly challenges giving you enough time to pick and choose what you want to participate in and plenty of time to complete your layouts.
Follow this link here to see the EZINE and make sure to check out the site.
Here are the two layouts that got chosen.
Toot Toot for me and Toot Toot for Making Memories For You!
I'd like to thank the lovely ladies over at MMFY. Today on such a cool date, 08-08-08 the layout below was chosen as "LAYOUT OF THE DAY!!" I was just telling my dh that we needed to do something cool or take some kind of cool pictures to commerate the date of 08-08-08...now I know I won't forget this date! Thanks again ladies!
Here is the quote from the website!! LOTD - 8 AUGUST by SophiaA on Fri Aug 08, 2008 8:50 am I have chosen this one by ISRos27, love the simplicity to it...beautiful.
This is a picture of my darling son Matthew and my lovely niece Isis. She loves her cousin so much. See how tenderly she holds him.
I can't believe how many wonderful Scrapbooking sites are out there. Recently I found two more phenomenal sites. My latest favorite is Making Memories For You the website is full of information, wonderful layouts and a great group of ladies. I recently posted a layout to their gallery forum. As soon as the contest is over I will post the layout here for viewing.
The next great website on my list is Creating My Keepsake another great group of ladies with lots of ideas and exciting challenges. The website is beautiful and super easy to navigate!!
So the end of the Scrapdeals4U.com contest is now over. The last challenge was a doozie. One layout had to contain 10 things that made you happy and the other layout had to contain 10 headshots of yourself showing emotions. Below you will see my two layouts. I had a lot of fun doing both and my dh was a great help!! This contest was great experience, I hope to do it again.
Sometimes I'm just not in the mood. I'm not in the mood to do laundry, dusting, or even the dishes...but then something always perks me up. My Tiara...Wouldn't it be great if the tiara were stylish...like chandelier earrings, big purses or even legwarmers??? I would be the first one out there wearing mine proudly. I love my tiara. I have one in my dressing room, one in the car and one on my desk, and whenever I feel the need...on goes my tiara and my mood is instantly changed. I can take on anything, especially when I'm scrapbooking...the tiara is my inspiration, an extention of me..it's what helps me 'CROP WITH STYLE!'
Welcome to my blog...I am so excited about creating this blog. First and foremost I have to thank all the ladies over at Scrapbookdeals4u.com for inspiring me. Next I like to give a many thanks to my dh for helping me out and being sooo supportive.
I am married to a wonderful man, (4 years now), and we have a beautiful son, Matthew. I have a niece and a nephew that I adore, and three awesome siblings. I love my family! I will be displaying my latest layouts, chatting up my darling son, and other tidbits, and just having a good time overall.
Okay a little bit about me....I AM FANATICAL about scrapbooking. I can't get enough of the papers, the embelishments, the stickers AND the TOOLS!!! Besides my "small" obsession with scrapbooking, I totally love reading and every now and then I dabble in writing my own stories. We'll see where that goes...maybe someday it will take flight!
Maya Angelou : The ship of my life may or may not be sailing on calm and amiable seas. The challenging days of my existence may or may not be bright and promising. Stormy or sunny days, glorious or lonely nights, I maintain an attitude of gratitude. If I insist on being pessimistic, there is always tomorrow. Today I am blessed.
